Vidanti Limited, located in Cambridge, UK, spun out of Conexant Systems in August 2005 to commercialise over 900 person years of software assets for High Definition TV over Broadband. The founders were formerly key members of Virata / Conexant and the team now includes veterans from Ericsson, Amino, Symbian, and Centillium. We specialise in the intersection of broadband digital home gateways and advanced interactive set top box technology and our products are aimed at the IPTV market - the fastest-growing segment of the pay TV sector.
Vidanti's software enables leading manufacturers around the world to replace their in-house software with a flexible and capable solution at a lower unit cost and shorter time to market. We are a technology platform company that does not replace our customer's abilities in set top box manufacture but instead enhances it with a vibrant R&D pipeline
The value of advanced set top boxes is increasingly in the software, and it is now too expensive for each manufacturer (except the very biggest) to do this work alone. Similar changes have occurred in many other communication and media industries, such as mobile phones, as technology demands make vertical integration impractical for any but the largest players. Vidanti is positioned to be one of the leading software platform providers - we offer a complete solution and a rare if not unique white-label business model that is brand-neutral and available to all.
Vidanti has made considerable progress in its short history. Our first products premiered at CES 2006 in Las Vegas, less than 5 months after company launch. We signed our first blue-chip sales contract within our first 9 months of operation. Our presence since then at major trade shows (e.g. CES, CeBiT, and IBC) and strategic partnerships with leading Silicon companies has helped to generate an extensive, global sales pipeline.
The Vidanti team is highly experienced in the design, manufacture and delivery of complex embedded customer premises equipment and can meet your needs with its flexible software and hardware architecture.
